Marketplace Terms
Last Updated: May 27, 2026 · v1.0.0
Important: REXTEN Marketplace is a marketplace and software platform. We are not the supplier of the services you book, and we are not your counterparty for the performance of those services.
1. Role of REXTEN Marketplace
REXTEN Marketplace enables businesses and professionals to present services and for clients to discover and book them. The platform may also provide tools for scheduling, messaging, and (where available) payment processing.
- We do not perform the booked services ourselves and do not control how a provider runs their business day to day.
- Listings, prices, descriptions, and availability are provided by independent providers; they are responsible for their accuracy and lawfulness.
- Nothing in these documents creates an agency, partnership, employment, or joint venture between REXTEN and any provider or client, unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
2. Who you contract with
When you purchase or book a service, your agreement for that service is with the listed business or professional (the "Provider"), subject to their terms and applicable law. REXTEN's role is limited to operating the platform and, where applicable, facilitating communication or payment flows as described in the product.
3. Taxes, invoicing, and reporting
Providers are independent businesses or self-employed professionals. They are solely responsible for determining and remitting any taxes, social contributions, and fees applicable to their activity in their jurisdiction, and for issuing any required invoices or receipts to clients, unless mandatory law assigns a different obligation.
- REXTEN does not replace your accountant or tax advisor and does not determine how your transaction should be classified for tax purposes.
- Fees charged by REXTEN (subscriptions, commissions, or processing) relate to the use of the platform or payment services and are separate from the price of the underlying service.
- If you need documentation for authorities, request it from the Provider; we may provide transactional records available in your account where the product supports it.
4. Payments
4.1. Payment processing via Stripe and Stripe Connect
Payments on the platform are processed by Stripe and/or Stripe Connect. To receive payments, a Provider may be required to create and maintain a Stripe connected account. By receiving payments through REXTEN, the Provider agrees to Stripe's applicable terms (including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and the Stripe Services Agreement).
Funds are routed according to Stripe's rules and the Provider's payout settings. REXTEN is not the seller of the underlying service; any platform fee is charged for marketplace and technology use unless otherwise clearly stated at checkout.
4.2. Payment processing terms
- REXTEN does not store full card numbers. Card data is processed and stored directly by Stripe in accordance with the PCI DSS standard; REXTEN only has access to tokens and limited transaction metadata.
- Verification (KYC). Stripe may verify the identity and business of the Provider (KYC/verification) and request documents and other information. Until verification is complete, accepting payments and/or payouts may be restricted.
- Payouts. Payouts to the Provider may be delayed, paused, or reversed by Stripe — including in cases of suspected fraud, insufficient verification, payment disputes, or as required by law.
- Chargebacks and disputes. Chargeback amounts and related fees may be charged to the Provider or withheld from their payouts (see the "Chargebacks and payment disputes" section).
- Platform fee retention. The REXTEN platform fee may be retained at the moment the funds are captured.
- Stripe fees. Stripe fees (commissions) may be non-refundable even if funds are returned to the client.
5. Disputes and consumer matters
Complaints about service quality, refunds for the service itself, or no-shows should first be directed to the Provider in line with their policy. The platform may offer communication or dispute tools as a convenience but is not obliged to mediate and does not guarantee a particular outcome.
6. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If a client disputes a payment (initiates a chargeback) through their bank or payment system, the following rules apply:
- Proof of service. Upon request, the Provider must supply evidence that the service was duly delivered (or offered) — correspondence, photos, confirmations, completion marks, and other documents.
- Sharing data. REXTEN may share booking records, messages, timestamps, and other transaction data with Stripe, the bank, or the payment system as needed to handle the dispute.
- Charging the Provider. If the dispute is resolved against the Provider, the disputed amount and related dispute fees may be charged to the Provider or withheld from their current or future payouts.
- No guarantee. REXTEN does not control how banks and payment systems handle disputes and does not guarantee any particular outcome.
7. Refund order
When a booking is paid online through REXTEN, how a refund is issued depends on the stage at which the refund is requested. The REXTEN fee is a charge for booking processing, payment infrastructure, marketplace listing and administrative support; it is separate from the price of the underlying service charged by the Provider.
7.1. Before the service is delivered (booking confirmed, service not yet rendered)
If a booking is cancelled before the service starts — by the client, the Provider, or by mutual agreement — up to 100% of the paid amount can be refunded to the client. In this case the REXTEN fee is refunded proportionally to the amount returned to the client.
7.2. After the service is completed (booking marked as completed)
Once the Provider has marked the booking as completed, a refund may only be issued up to the amount actually received by the Provider (excluding the REXTEN fee). The REXTEN fee for a completed booking is non-refundable, because the platform has already incurred the technology, payment processing and administrative costs.
7.3. Unconfirmed authorization (card hold)
If only a hold was placed on the client's card (authorization without capture) and the booking is cancelled before capture, the hold is released automatically: no money is taken from the client's card and no fee is charged.
7.4. Exceptions
REXTEN may, at its discretion, refund the platform fee in full or in part — including for completed bookings — in the following cases:
- An error or outage on the platform's side that prevented the service from being delivered.
- Confirmed fraud, a payment dispute, or a decision in the client's favour under Stripe or banking procedures.
- Other situations where withholding the fee would be clearly unfair to the client and REXTEN decides to make an exception on a case-by-case basis.
Providers may set their own cancellation and refund policies within these rules. The specific terms of an individual booking may further limit the maximum refundable amount — for example, in the case of a late cancellation.
8. Related documents
These Marketplace Terms supplement (and do not replace) our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If there is a conflict, the document that is more specific to marketplace operations applies to that topic.
